On Friday 19th July we will be performing a concert at Rock Methodist Church, Yelverton, Nr Plymouth. The concert starts at 7.30pm and admission at the door is £5.

Good news! Our choir has been awarded a grant of £1440 by the Co-operative Membership Community Fund for which we are very grateful. This will enable us to purchase quite a few new scores so the choir has been set the task of putting in suggestions for new songs.

In December 2012 the choir sang for a wedding which we all very much enjoyed. Thankfully the bride and groom also enjoyed our contribution to the service and wrote:

We are delighted to be singing to help raise funds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. The programme will be varied and hopefully there will be something for everyone. Kingsbridge Community College Choir will also be performing.

This should be a really good evening of Christmas music with the opportunity to join in, and all in aid of the Plymouth branch of Age UK, a very worthwhile charity (www.ageukplymouth.org.uk).

There will be guest speakers and a special performance by Ian Calvert.

We are returning to Buckland Abbey for an informal programme of Christmas carols and songs. This is a really interesting National Trust house and hopefully the sound of Christmas music will make your visit even more enjoyable.

Our annual Christmas concert is being held at Trinity United Reformed Church, Tor Lane, Plymouth. Our programme includes several well known Christmas carols and we would encourage the audience to join in and have a jolly good sing. There will also be a guest soloist. After the concert there will be mulled wine and mince pies.

Proceeds from this concert and the raffle will go to The Mustard Tree who help people deal with cancer.

Please do come along, have a really enjoyable evening and help raise as much as we can for this very deserving charity.

We are very exited about this. We have been asked to sing at a wedding on 1st December at The Minster Church of St.Andrew in Plymouth city centre. As well as backing up the guests in the congregational singing we will be singing three pieces  during the signing of the register that have been chosen by the bride and groom .

Once again we will be singing in the Great Barn at Buckland Abbey on the afternoon of Sunday 15th July 2012. We will be singing a selection of songs from our Summer programme. Although seating will be available this is not a formal concert so please feel free to come and go as you wander around this beautiful National Trust property.

We will be holding a fund raising concert for Children’s Hospice South West on Saturday 7th July 7.30pm at Trinity United Reformed Church, Torr Lane, Plymouth.
